Gracia-Jean “G-J” Darling
Native to Indianapolis, Ms. Darling (formerly Ms. Meyer) and her brother are fifth generation lawyers in the city. She received her B.A. degree magna cum laude in economics and finance from Hanover College and her law degree from Indiana University, where she served on Indiana Law Journal.
In addition to her law degree, Ms. Darling is a Certified Trust and Estate Specialist as certified by the Indiana Trust and Estate Specialty Board. This process requires meeting specific practice experience and qualifications, peer review and passing a specialization bar exam to qualify as a highly skilled and knowledgeable estate planning practitioner.
Her professional memberships include the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations, Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis, and Planned Giving Council of the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
Civic-minded, Ms. Darling actively participates in church, mission outreach, the Great Banquet, Kappa Alpha Theta, and the Women’s Fund OPTIONS Program as an alum of Class 1. She has participated weekly for more than twenty years in the Indy Women’s Golf League.
Formerly, she served as Treasurer of the Planned Giving Group of Indiana (now Charitable Gift Planners of Indiana) and her MOPS group, as well as on the Indianapolis Leadership Team of Priority Associates (a division of Cru, formerly Campus Crusade for Christ). She has been involved and advised various local non-profits with governance, operating and development matters.
An extensive traveler, Ms. Darling loves to visit new places and meet interesting people. Closer to home, she enjoys various sports, puzzles, reading, and getting together with friends. Much of her free time is spent with her husband and daughters.
